“Excellent low budget hotel. My rating is based on the price you pay for a single room. For this price you get a decent room, shared bathrooms (not really a problem with only 4 rooms) and a good breakfast. It is not modern, state of the art, but what you get is a lot of atmosphere of gone by days and a very personal contact with the owners. (last year I had really a good talk with Joan) For a train buff like me it is also the way to sit on top of the action, and enables me to drink pints with the ELR members and friends I made on a previous trip to Bury without the trouble getting back to the hotel, as a nice pint is served downstairs.”

“Really lively little pub selling a great… selection of drinks. Stayed in the small hotel upstairs. The price with breakfast included means its nothing short of a bargain! Joan the landlady does a brilliant full English!”‎

“One of the best places in Bury… The only true pub left. Lively, safe and popular. Good music. Excellent atmosphere. Friendly staff. If you want to enjoy a drink and dance to something other than the charts – get there. Excellent music Friday afternoon”‎
